What I’m up to now
This is a now page.
Where I am: Pittsburgh, PA during the academic year. The San Francisco Bay Area during breaks.
What I’m studying now: Algebraic geometry
Where I am/will be working: I will be interning as a Quantitative Trader at Citadel Securities for Summer 2025-2026.
Currently I am enrolled in Carnegie Mellon University as a computer science/math dual major. The details are a bit involved, but in short, I am simultaneously pursuing a bachelor’s in computer science and a master’s in mathematics. My interests are much more heavily skewed towards mathematics, particularly in “purer” subjects like algebra, geometry, combinatorics, etc as opposed to “more easily applicable” subjects like analysis, differential equations, etc.
I am spending quite a bit of time writing up my algebraic geometry notes, and hope to publish that soon.
I plan to spend a little bit of time studying up on financial concepts, conducting some mock trading, etc before the summer.
In the medium to long term, I want teaching mathematics to be a part of my life. Currently it is not, and I have not been seriously looking into ways to change this in the short term.
I also hope to write more about non-mathematical topics. I have an essay sitting in my notebook that I have not taken the time to type up yet, but I fully expect that I will make major revisions when I do. It will probably be posted by mid-October.
